Me and my friends started a fake “country” at school. It first began as paper-based fake country, with money tracking, and it turned into a full Django web app: a banking system, a crypto exchange with real order matching, a marketplace where students bought and sold stuff, and a chat system.
The country started with a couple friends, but expanded across the middle school and peaked at 56 users and 64 active listings before a student TOLD a teacher, a teacher that took things far to seriously. I was called in, accused of fraud, and panicked-deleted the entire server and database on the spot.
